Let's start at the very beginning

I guess I'll call this Mormon 101.  It's a basic overview of before earth-life, earth-life, and after earth-life.  We are all spirit children of God.  He is our Heavenly Father.  As spirits, we lived in His presence before we came to earth.  He discussed with us mortal life and the blessings and challenges we would experience. We chose to come to earth to receive a body and to be tested so that we would gain knowledge and experience for ourselves.  God told us that He would send a Savior who would die for us so that every one of us could have eternal life.  Our Savior would also atone for us and take our sins upon Him so that we could be clean and return to our Father's presence.  Jesus Christ volunteered and was chosen to be our Savior, knowing that we would have agency to choose for ourselves to follow God's ways or not.

Under God's direction, Jesus Christ created the earth.  We come to earth and receive a body.  We are subject to physical and spiritual trials and afflictions.

We all were given the gift of eternal life.  As Jesus was resurrected, we too will be resurrected.  After we die, we are judged by a loving, merciful, just God.  We progress while on earth, but when we die, our progression doesn't stop.  We continue to learn and grow.
